OVERVIEW

St. Gregorios Career Guidance and Placement Cell at SGDC aims to support students and graduates in navigating their career paths effectively, ensuring they are well-prepared to enter the dental profession and achieve their career objectives.

The cell offers one-on-one sessions to help dental students and graduates identify their career goals, whether in clinical practice, academia, or research. They also provide advice on various dental specializations and subspecialties, helping students make informed decisions about their areas of focus. It connects current students with alumni who are established in their dental careers, offering mentorship, advice, and job leads.

OBJECTIVES

To provide career counseling and career development sessions for Final and Internship students of St. Gregorios Dental College.
To assist the students by giving training from successful Alumni members.
To develop career services programs that will help student in exploring and planning career options.
To Work with students on their needs for career development.
To conduct training’s, workshops, lectures, presentations, and other events to develop career planning and employability skills for students.
To Develop positive working relationship with faculty, administrative and co-workers to achieve desired goals.
To Assist Placements in Alumni Owned clinics for the students passing out from the institution
To Co-ordinate with academic advisers to help students in making career choices based on their academic majors.
To aid in Research and analyze current employment trends in various industries.
To maintain regular contacts with potential employers for new job opportunities.
To educate students on resume building, interview skills, and professionalism.
To conduct mock interviews and job search workshops for students.
To Conduct career awareness events for students
To execute outreach programs to promote career services among students.
To Maintain a database of student’s academic and employment records
To conduct online orientation and career guidance classes from alumnus working abroad
