GENERAL HUMAN PHYSIOLOGY
At the end of the 1st year BDS course in General Human Physiology, the undergraduate student is expected to:
Sl.no | Course Outcomes | Knowledge Levels (K1-K2) |
---|---|---|
CO1 |
To describe the normal functions of organs and organ systems, in maintaining the homeostasis of the organism, which enable to understand the physiological basis of life, health and well being. |
K2 |
CO2 |
To explain the biological functions of all physiological systems (Integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrinology, CVS, lymphatic, GIT, respiratory, excretory, and reproductive &immunology) in sustaining the harmonious interactions in between organ systems. |
K2 |
CO3 |
To elucidate the gradation of cellular –Tissue – Organ level physiology, enable to analyze the basic inference of abnormalities at different stages. |
K4 |
CO4 |
By knowing the normal functions (Physiology) of each system, students are capable of assessing abnormal physiology, hence helpful in disease diagnosis. |
K5 |
CO5 |
To evaluate the oral and dental disorders or diseases in connection with the abnormal physiology of other systems. |
K5 |
CO6 |
To establish the importance of oral physiology in preserving the wellbeing of the organism, since oral cavity is the major portal of entry in the organism. |
K6 |
CO7 |
To enable students to get knowledge and aptitude on community dental education on the basis of knowledge in physiology. |
