WOMEN EMPOWERMENT CELL

The Women Empowerment Cell (WEC) at St. Gregorios Dental College is dedicated to uplifting and supporting female members of our community. Our mission is to promote a culture of equality, respect, and empowerment by addressing gender-related issues, providing leadership opportunities, and building solidarity among women in society. The college celebrates International Women’s Day every year with an event named “TARUNI”.

MISSION

To achieve a harmonious atmosphere to promote gender equality, rights and leadership in the educational, cultural, socioeconomic and political level which amplifies the peace for ourselves and others.

OBJECTIVES

• To create multidisciplinary approach for the overall personal fulfillment
• To develop the self-confidence and promote the strong leadership
• To prevent sexual harassment and to organize awareness programs on gender sensitization, gender equity and sexual harassment
• To organize classes and workshops to educate about the health, hygiene and safety of members 
• To conduct seminars and guest lectures to create awareness on the economic, social, political, cultural and legal rights and Women Welfare Laws
• To conduct workshops and awareness programs to train girls about self-defense, and skill development
• To empower women to make their own decisions and raising their voice against Gender Discrimination, Violence, Injustice
