Awareness On Tobacco Cessation

The Continuous Dental Education program entitled, ‘AWARENESS ON TOBACCO CESSATION has been proven to be a valuable and impactful programme that intended to provide dental practitioners with the necessary tools to properly counsel patients on quitting smoking. The programme provided participants with significant insights into evidence-based cessation tactics, patient communication techniques, and the physiological impacts of tobacco on oral and systemic health. The lectures and interactive workshops by Dr Kiran Mathai were interspersed with case-based discussions to enhance learning. Attendee feedback was extremely good, emphasising the presenters' experience, the course's practical applicability, and the collaborative character of the learning process. In order to further empower dental practitioners, the organisers hope to build on the success of this course in the future by adding more case studies and offering resources for continuing assistance.
