The Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics held a seminar in their department seminar hall on November 20, 2019, with the theme "RECENT ADVANCES IN POST SYSTEMS," for postgraduate students and faculty members. Dr. Prasanth Dhanapal, a well-known endodontist and dental surgeon from Kochi, started out by outlining the function and significance of post systems in restorative dentistry, emphasising their part in giving dental prostheses structural stability and guaranteeing long-term success. In addition, he talked about the most recent developments in post design, such as the production of tailored posts using CAD/CAM technology and the usage of post shapes for improved stability and retention. The characteristics and benefits of the most current developments in post materials were discussed in the lecture The topic provided new clinicians with an understanding of current clinical applications and procedures. The postgraduate students listened intently to the speaker and showed great interest in him. The students found the seminar to be an invaluable resource for their next academic projects and research pursuits in this area.
